Opio, an unspoiled nature
Year after year, the Côte d'Azur or French Riviera remains the first region in the world for luxury real estate and secondary summer residences buying investment. Since its creation in Cannes in 1977, Michaël Zingraf Real Estate meets the expectations of a predominantly international clientele by proposing the sales and rentals of luxury villas and apartments and exceptional properties in Opio, while providing a wide range of personalized services.
Today, the group owns ten agencies and has more than fifty employees, half of them being foreigners (English, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian etc...). As passionate professionals, they know the specificities of each micro-real estate market in Opio. This unique expertise has also convinced Christie's International Real Estate, who chose Michaël Zingraf Real Estate as exclusive affiliate for luxury real estate in Opio.
The Golf in the shadow of bastides
The delightful village of Opio stands at the heart of a protected environment with typical Mediterranean vegetation (trees, pines, cork oaks, arbutus, heather, etc…). The local microclimate is unique; roses and jasmine are grown for the perfume industry, whose world capital, Grasse, is only eight kilometers away.
300 meter high, between the sea and the mountains, and ideally located 15 minutes away from Cannes and 30 minutes from the airport of Nice Côte d'Azur, Opio is proud of its Provencal charm thanks to its luxurious villas and exceptional properties.
Like many hilltop villages of the region, Opio was originally a fortified Roman camp (‘oppidum’ in Latin, hence its name). A beautiful woman's head in marble, found during archaeological excavations in the town, is also shown in the museum of Grasse.
Heritage is a reality here – the proof is the Moulin d'Opio, a mill producing Nice PDO olive oil since 1848, adulated by visitors from around the world. But above all, the village with preserved charm stands out for its well-being. Indeed, the peaceful natural environment is appropriate for walking, cycling or riding in the heart of the 450 hectares Opio forest. As for golf enthusiasts, they will have to sharpen their swing to measure themselves to the Opio Valbonne Golf Club, one of the oldest of the region. This course requires a precise short game to go, and good consistency on the big game back ... A golfing vocation to be found in the 50 hectares of nature of the Opio Club Med, a luxury village with its own nine hole golf course (La Tour d'Opio), or in one of the four other courses within a radius of 10 km!
Opio and its surroundings undoubtedly form a dynamic sector, with no less than six Michelin-starred restaurants. Luxury villas in Opio are particularly sought after by a large French and international clientele. The Opio Michaël Zingraf agency covers the luxury real estate market in Valbonne, Roquefort-les-Pins, Grasse and the most quoted of the hinterland villages like Chateauneuf, Le Bar-sur-Loup or Le Rouret. Not to mention non-coastal Var, which is a natural outlet for buyers seeking more spacious grounds or buyers with specific requests (vineyards, cottages, castles, equestrian properties...).
Moreover, the Michaël Zingraf agency itself is a reason to visit Opio! It gathers refined architecture, real estate and contemporary art within a space of over 500 m2 in the OPIOM Gallery. This gallery, absolutely unique in the region, shows a rigorous selection of contemporary artists from two disciplines: photography and sculpture (free entrance, more information on www.opiomgallery.com).
